The just for Laughs Festival invades Chicago this week, and the signs are everywhere–almost literally.
If you’ve been walking around Chicago on Monday morning, you may have seen a misplaced vending machine with the face of a certain ginger-haired comedian plastered all over it. If you had enough time to stop and inspect it, you’d notice that it was stocked with T-shirts, also with that face printed on every one of them.
The machines are part of a promotion for Conan O’Brien’s week of taping in Chicago for his TBS talk show, “CONAN.” Each show this week will feature a “magic code” to use online or at one of the 10 vending machines scattered throughout downtown Chicago.
A map of all the machines can be found at the Team Coco website, but they haven’t quite gotten their Chicago geography down. Unless they moved Navy Pier to Michigan Ave. without telling anyone and the Prudential Plaza took its place.
For those looking, four machines are on the blocks between 400 and 700 North Michigan Ave., and others are at Navy Pier, Prudential Plaza, the Chicago Theater, Union Station, Wrigley Field and the Thompson Center.
According to the Team Coco website, T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you really want a shirt with Conan’s giant face on it, get to the machines early.
